How Agelong Tree stores data
To save the entered information press Save
button in the main program window:
When you save the data file for the first time, enter a file name and choose a folder where the data file should be saved. You can save into “My Family” folder inside Documents folder as it is suggested by Agelong Tree, or into another folder.
The information is stored in .atdb file, photos and other added files are copied to the documents folder named *.files, no data is sent to the Internet.
If you need to move the data file, the documents folder *.files must be moved too.
Data safety
Agelong Tree automatically suggests creating an archived backup copy to prevent data loss. Once you have created an archived copy of the data, Agelong Tree regularly suggests creating a new backup copy of the data. The backup zip archive contains the data file and the documents folder with all documents, photos etc. We strongly recommend to save the archive on an external disc or in a cloud storage, it will help to restore the data in case of computer breakdown.
