Export to Gedcom

Gedcom format is used for data exchange between different genealogical applications and online services. You can export your family tree to Gedcom file, see the menu FileExportGedcom:
Export to Gedcom

The data is exported taking into account the active filters of the Persons table, that is, only persons present in the Persons table and all objects associated with them are recorded in the Gedcom file. After choosing a folder and a name for the Gedcom file, you can set the parameters of the export:
Gedcom export options window

With the option Copy photos to folder, the original photo files will be copied to a folder that has the same name as the Gedcom file, + “.files”. In this case, in the Gedcom file, the paths to the photos will be recorded relative to this folder, and the resulting Gedcom file and photo folder can be transferred to another computer to import the data into another application or online service.

Only main photos option allows to save only links to persons' profile photos (those that are seen in Persons table and in the tree).

With option Convert Julian dates to Gregorian all dates will be written to Gedcom as Gregorian dates, new style.

With Apply active filters of Persons table tick, data are exported subject to the active filters of the Persons table, that is, only persons that are present in the Persons table and all objects associated with them are recorded in the Gedcom file.

The level of confidentiality and authenticity are used for filtering data that is saved to Gedcom. The filter applies to persons as well as to all other objects that are saved to Gedcom.

Gedcom encoding is UTF-8.
